You fill out the online application form. You stay on our site and your loan documents will appear on your screen within a minute or so. You read and then sign the documents using our bank-approved secure electronic signature. |
STEP 2 |

You leave our website and go straight to your email inbox. You receive an email with your copy of the loan document. You also receive a second email from us straight away asking you to confirm your email address (check your junk/spam folder if you cannot find this email). You click the link confirming your email address to complete the application process. |
STEP 3 |
|
We receive your loan documents. We send you an email requesting your past three months bank statements, up until the date of your application. We run a credit check. If you have poor credit, we may offer you the option of repaying your loan via payroll deductions. As a responsible lender, we are required to run a series of checks to ensure that a loan from Smartcash is suitable and affordable for you. We check your current employment and pay details. Please let your payroll know that we will be contacting them - this will speed up the process. We also check recent loans you have had to make sure you are eligible. |
STEP 4 |

We advise you by email if your loan is approved within 60 minutes of receiving your signed documents. This is subject to us being able to quickly confirm your pay details, completing our suitability and affordability checks, receiving any and all additional information we may request from you and your application form being filled in correctly. We may ask you by email for additional information, depending on your credit history and our review of your bank statements. |

We approve your loan. We transfer the money to your bank account.

Returning Customers |

You login to your SMARTCASH account. You fill out the online application form. You stay on our site and your loan documents will appear on your screen within a minute or so. You read and then sign the documents using our bank approved secure electronic signature. We email you a copy of your completed loan documents. |
STEP 2 |

We receive your loan documents and review your application. We send you an email requesting your past three months' bank statements up to the date of your application. We also run a series of checks to ensure that a loan from Smartcash is suitable and affordable for you. We may also update your credit report. |
STEP 3 |

We request any further information we require to assess the suitability and affordability of your loan. We can typically advise you by email if your loan is approved within 60 minutes of receiving your loan application. This is subject to us receiving the required information in a timely manner. |
STEP 4 |

We transfer the money to your bank account. |

If we approve your loan before 3.30pm on a normal business day, you can receive the money in your account on the same day. This depends on your bank transferring the money straight away into your account and this should happen with all of the major trading banks in New Zealand.*
The fee for this service is $10, which is added to your loan.
*Please note that certain credit unions do not allow same day payment. If you are unsure as to whether your bank does, please contact them for confirmation of their same-day payment policy.
Cash tomorrow
If you can wait, the cash will be in your account the next day. There is no charge for this.
Repaying your loan
Payments are usually made direct to us from your bank account on your paydays. Sometimes, however, we might ask you to make payments directly to us, or for your payments to be automatically deducted from your wages, by your employer.
If you are paid weekly, you can elect to pay us back on your payday for up to four paydays.
If you are paid fortnightly, you can pay us back on two paydays.
If you are paid monthly, you will repay on your next pay date.
You can repay your loan at any time during the term of your loan and you will only pay the interest up to the date you make payment.
